FAQ

BANAPLUS is a factory located in the Banana Zone of Santa Marta, Colombia, that produces green banana flour. We use high-quality bananas that do not meet export specifications but are ideal for producing high-quality flour.

The bananas come from farms certified by Global Gap, Rain Forest Alliance, and Fairtrade. BANAPLUS uses both conventional and organic bananas to produce green banana flour.

We produce two types of green banana flour: conventional green banana flour and organic green banana flour, both with various food applications.

We have the following certifications:

  • HACCP-BPM

  • Organic Certification (EU and NOP)

  • INVIMA Health Permit

  • Kosher (Kashrut PI Yesharim)

Green banana flour is rich in fiber, resistant starch, and is gluten-free. It is ideal for gluten-free applications and can replace high glycemic index flours such as rice or potato flour. Additionally, it provides softness and flexibility in baked goods and processed foods.
